The ninth China–South Asia Expo has kicked off in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province, and will run from June 19 to June 24.

Taking place at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center, the expo has attracted representatives from 73 countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as more than 2,500 enterprises.

Yunnan hosted over 20,000 Chinese and foreign enterprises at the first eight sessions of the China-South Asia Expo, leading to a foreign trade transaction volume exceeding $110 billion.

Yunnan and countries in South Asia and Southeast Asia have strong industrial complementarity and great potential for cooperation, especially in the tourism industry.

Yunnan, in particular, is known for its breathtaking natural landscapes, diverse ethnic cultures, and unique local traditions. To further tap into tourism cooperation, this year's expo features a newly established "Sojourn in Yunnan" Pavilion, aimed at strengthening collaboration with Chinese and international partners and jointly developing the global tourism market.
