Zhejiang unveils blueprint for bulk commodity hub

ezhejiang.gov.cn| Updated: February 6, 2025 L M S

The Provincial Government of Zhejiang Province has issued a detailed implementation plan to build a "bulk commodity resource allocation hub" within the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

The plan sets clear milestones for development. By 2025, the province aims to establish a foundational framework for commodity storage, processing, trade, and maritime services.

By 2027, key projects are expected to be completed, with substantial improvements in industry structure and reform outcomes.

By 2030, the hub is projected to have robust resource allocation capabilities and enhanced global pricing influence, positioning it as a competitive and internationally significant bulk commodity center.

Fifteen specific initiatives are outlined in the plan, centered on the construction of "three bases and two centers". These include a storage base, a processing base, and a maritime service base, along with trade and transaction centers.
