Foreign Minister urges Chinese youths to amplify their voices

Foreign Minister Qin Gang encouraged young Chinese people to play an important role in making China's voice heard loud and clear around world.
He made the remark on Tuesday when taking a question from China Daily at a press conference during the first session of the 14th National People's Congress, China's top legislature.
Qin said that although China is moving closer to the center of the world's stage and finding itself in the spotlight more often, there are not enough microphones to amplify its voice.
"And there are quite a lot of noises and jarring notes regarding China," he said, urging Chinese youths to cultivate a global vision and become good narrators of China's stories.
While Western modernization is the prelude to the modernization of humanity, the development and progress of developing countries, including China, is a symphony, the foreign minister said, noting that the Chinese youth can compose the most exciting and beautiful part of the symphony with their relentless pursuit of dreams.
"I hope more young friends will join the diplomatic service and live youth to the fullest in a time of great opportunities" Qin added.
