Erkin Tuniyaz appointed acting chairman of China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region

URUMQI - Erkin Tuniyaz was on Thursday appointed acting chairman of the regional government of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The decision was made at a session of the standing committee of the regional legislature.
The 29th session of the Standing Committee of the 13th People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Thursday also accepted Shohrat Zakir's resignation from the post of chairman.
