Beijing has provided coronavirus vaccinations for around 6.66 million people as of 9:30 am Sunday by giving 10 million doses, according to the city government.

More than half have taken two doses, while the rest have received their first doses.

People who have taken both doses are considered to have completed vaccination.

Beijing started vaccinating nine key groups of individuals on Jan 1 and began immunizing the general public later.

The city has a population of more than 21 million.

According to the plan, the city has started to vaccinate people who are aged above 60 and in good health.
