All proposals submitted to annual session of China's top legislature handled
BEIJING -- All the proposals submitted to last year's annual session of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, by NPC deputies have been handled, with feedback given to the lawmakers.
Deputies to the third session of the 13th NPC submitted a record high of 9,180 proposals to the session, which was convened in May 2020. More than 71 percent of the problems raised in these proposals have been either solved or will be addressed step by step.
Improving the public health emergency management system, eradicating poverty and boosting employment were among the major topics in the proposals.
A total of 474 proposals related to reforming the health care system. The number of proposals on epidemic prevention registered a 179-percent increase from 2019.
