14 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Hebei province
North China's Hebei province reported 14 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 30 asymptomatic carriers on Tuesday, all locally transmitted, according to the Health Commission of Hebei.
Among the newly reported confirmed cases, 11 are in Hebei's capital city of Shijiazhuang, all from two villages in Gaocheng district, according to the city's health commission. Another three are in Xingtai city. All of the 30 new asymptomatic cases are in Shijiazhuang.
Xiaoguozhuang village in Shijiazhuang was changed to a high-risk area on Tuesday. Liujiazuo village in Shijiazhuang, and two communities in Xingtai were designated as medium-risk areas.
The province has reported new local cases for three consecutive days in this new outbreak of COVID-19.
As of Tuesday morning, Hebei has 19 confirmed patients — two with severe symptoms, 15 with medium and two with mild. There are a total of 40 asymptomatic carriers under medical observation, the commission said.
