Beijing closes Haidian commodities market over virus case

Beijing's Haidian district authority announced on Saturday that Yuquandong commodities trading market will be temporarily closed starting from today, after an asymptomatic COVID-19 case was found from the market.
The market, located in Beijing's northwestern Haidian district, sells various daily commodities including clothes, stationery and fruits and vegetables.
The market will carry out sterilization. When the market will reopen will be announced accordingly, said the statement.
According to chinanews.com, by Saturday afternoon, four residential streets in Beijing's three districts of Fengtai, Fangshan and Xicheng, were shown as medium-risk areas on the national novel coronavirus prevention and control app.
Early this morning, Beijing temporarily closed the Xinfadi wholesale market for agricultural products in Fengtai, in response to new local COVID-19 cases emerging in the capital city over the past two days.
