The last batch of Shanghai medical workers who assisted Hubei province in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic returned to Shanghai on Friday, said Zheng Jin, spokesperson of the Shanghai Health Commission, during a news conference held by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
The team from the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which was assigned to the C2 ward of Jiangxia Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan, landed at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport at noon on China Eastern flight MU9002.
A total of 1,649 medical staff from Shanghai were sent to Hubei province following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
