NHC: Notable Rise in Cure Rates in Wuhan, Hubei and Nationwide
On the afternoon of 10 February, the State Council inter-agency task force on responding to the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak held a press briefing on strengthening epidemic control at the community level.
According to Mi Feng, the NHC spokesperson and Deputy Director-General for Publicity, statistics today suggest a notable increase in cure rates in Wuhan, Hubei and across China, which rose to 6.2%, 6.1% and 8.2% respectively as compared to 2.6%, 1.7% and 1.3% on 27 January. The figures show that treatment measures are achieving preliminary results across the country. Medical capacity in Wuhan and the wider Hubei Province, in particular, has been significantly reinforced as more medical staff are sent in from other provinces and more hospital beds added through various means.
