China collects four golds, one silver and one bronze at FIG World Cup

BERLIN - Chinese gymnasts claimed four golds, one silver and one bronze at the FIG World Cup that concluded on Sunday in Cottbus, Germany.
As the top leader in the balance beam qualification, Li Qi did not perform well at the final and took third place due to wobbling and several pauses on the beam. The 17-year-old Japanese Urara Ashikawa won the gold with 13.700.
At the parallel bar, Olympic champion Oleg Verniaiev from Ukraine prevailed with the highest score of 15.400. You Hao from China got the same points but was rated at second place due to the lower value of his exercise.
Japanese Hidetaka Miyachi provided a breathtaking air show at the horizontal bar and won the trophy. Chinese gymnasts Hu Xuwei and Zhang Chenglong ranked the fifth and sixth due to mistakes on the bar and dropping off the bar.
The Chinese gymnastic team claimed four golds on rings, pommel horse, women's vault and uneven bars at the first final match day on Saturday.
