China would like to make joint efforts with all countries to improve the international standardization system and governance structure, President Xi Jinping said on Monday.
Xi made the remark in a congratulatory letter sent to the 83rd general meeting of the International Electrotechnical Commission being held in Shanghai.

As new technologies including artificial intelligence, big data and 5G have been integrated with the development of new energy power generation and electric vehicles, Xi said there is an urgent need to create and apply international standards in relevant fields and enhance international cooperation in standardization.
