Report on CPC's achievements delivered to overseas Chinese, HK, Macao compatriots
BEIJING -- A report on the achievements and experiences of the Communist Party of China over the past 70 years was delivered Monday at a meeting attended by over 2,300 representatives of overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao.
Delivered by Xie Chuntao, vice president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, the report elaborated on the historic achievements of the CPC in leading the nation toward prosperity and strength.
The report also summed up the CPC's experiences in successfully governing the country since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago, and answered the question of why the CPC "can."
The meeting was jointly held by several departments, including the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.
