Dapeng, who plays a gangster boss, says that he put on 10 kilograms for the role and also lost it as the script requires such a body transformation.
A native of Jilin province in Northeast China, Dapeng also had to learn Cantonese for the role.
Speaking about the film in Shanghai recently, Dapeng said: "I love the challenge. And I hope the film will surprise the audience."
