Since the beginning of 2017, Cixi, a county-level city in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, has released a series of plans to develop its manufacturing industry by promoting the adoption of automatic and intelligent machines.

Relevant government departments in Cixi like the economy and information technology bureau provide customized and precise services for manufacturing companies to boost their transformation.

Since 2016, the first year of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), Cixi has invested 23.7 billion yuan ($3.56 billion) in the industrial sector and 20.16 billion yuan in technological upgrading. The city also plans to promote the rise of machines in 1,167 local companies in the next three years.
